What a bacon 🥓
Well, how about for a change employers should know that the person already deserves a pay rise for a change, right? Instead of having the employees always initiating the conversation sort of like begging for more money. At least this way i.e unexpected pay rises, will give them a push. Can't we just adopt new strategies and practices instead of striking I the old?
this gets you nowhere. the first answer is the way to go. from experience. softy softy in business doesnt work. lad is clueless and pretty much every comment on this video is saying as much. hilarious he stukk even has this up id be to embarrased.
Bet hes a great person to work for. Not
Inspiring 🎉
Hello brother, how can I purchase the gym shark clothes even I live in Cambodia?
Nonsense
I think the true answer is understanding how your boss negotiates first
This guy got lucky selling low quality clothing and now he thinks he is Steve Jobs.
First sales hit different bro
❤
I'd love a similar brand but without any visible logo or branding. Maybe I'll create one...
This guy is so amazing!
I have only ever secured a pay rise by threatening to leave. Not once has any other tactic worked. This is terrible advice.
Stupid, as if most people dont ask nicely first. You think people bother to prep CVs do interviews etc on a whim? What are you supposed to do when you get a no? I would go for something much simplier, I've looked at my market value and got an offer from x for y, I really like it here and I dont want to leave, but I would like to be paid my fair market value.
Nobody’s going to change on minimum wage bro 😂
I disagree! Sometimes you need to prove you have another role to get the best offer from your current employer. If you have regular appraisals then there’s a chance there to engage in that conversation but not every company does that!
As someone that works in recruiting you should defo fucking move and don't accept a counter offer if you do you'll be stuck for the next 5 years.
I loved this video and couldn’t agree more!! What a great watch and message Ben 🙌🏻
Bye Lewis 👋
Ben pretending he not a disingenuous capitalist.
Welcome to the culture of the UK where bosses think we are valueless serfs.
This is great news and would be great…. But to be honest they can’t even repost your posts or take the time to reshare your stories you post wearing there gym brand on the socials. You can tag them and mention them all the time but nothing happens from their side. People spend alot of money at gymshark the least you can do is post, repost, share or comment it’s not much really.
Thanks ben
Proud of this British Billionaire.
Got a bank balance with millions in tho 😂
Maybe the boss should be thinking. "This guy is great, always turns up on time, never sick, always working hard let's give him a raise". Instead you do nothing a lose good loyal workers then hire new ones on more money and wonder why you're company is going to shit.
Please add tall size options for your shirts
This is the biggest loads of bullshit 😂😂
Does help when you have rich people around you to start a company
he came from a lower class family in the uk
If you are referring to Ben, you are very uninformed.
Sometimes dumb people do the right thing and find success, i believe this guy might be one
That’s the point where they said let’s set a target for you to meet then we can get a raise sorted
If ever there was an icon for this generation to look up to it’s this guy , so switched on for his age and seems genuinely a nice guy to boot
Just go run your business, whats the world become with everyone trying to be some online business guru, podcast rimming melt
Nothing but respect Ben, hard work is paying off
This guy obvs doesn’t understand the value of people
This guy needs to talk about loyalty. Something he showed non of.
Third
Why is he dressed like a mortal kombat character? 😂
Because his name is Gymsharka Khan
Thank you, Mr. Francis. Aspiring entrepreneur here :( <3
Ben I’m a fan of you, but I think you should really give Lewis 50% of the credit because you and him were 50/50 partners. I don’t think it’s right that you shut him out of everything regardless of your personal problems.
This is how you should act if you have security, and you trust and respect your boss. You’re interacting with a person and you need to think about who that person is whilst doing so. Most bosses you probably do need an offer in your hand.
Heres my rate, take it or leave it.
nobody should work for this guy!
Scammer. Can only negotiate when the other side has nothing. Don't listen to this shmuck, it's people like him that cause high turn over rates in businesses which is a big problem
You are an inspiration Ben 🌠
Shenanigans
The second conversation is the "look at this later in the year" response from the boss. The first is the "you are about to lose me, have to spend the money to recruit a replacement, pay to train them and no guarantee they'll be at my level in the next year so lets have a discussion and I know my market value" so thats why the boss doesnt want that conversation.
As a manager, its your job to identify high performers and act accordingly to keep them. Otherwise it means you are clueless about the quality of your team, or you are deliberately exploiting your staff.
Lol ridiculous!! Try this technique and you'll be told in the nicest possible terms that unfortunately rises within the company are determined on a specific date or that it wasn't with their budget this year or some other bullshit excuse. Then when you hand in your resignation and tell them you have another job lined up the negotiations to keep you will start.
